8.04 Growing Old is Getting Old

Welcome back to the Riley’s! Will I ever get this challenge done? I dunno! Jane is doing laundry though, because the family hasn’t done it in 10 business days.

She gets a promotion at work, but now she needs one million followers. For reference, she only has a little over 100,000 right now. I’m not filled with joy. If shes not doing household stuff, shes glued to her computer.

Household stuff does include tending to her two little monsters… I mean angels. Why are they both in yellow?

To be very fair, it is a cute little family. Its just funny having Zoe look at Lily like “You got it?”

The kitchen receives an upgrade. I usually don’t play with items before I tested them on a fairly clean save, but I don’t think these items will hurt the Riley save (or kill anyone? Maybe?).

It makes me so sad to see Carolyn as an old lady. I really want to keep her forever. She’s been such a good spouse to Emmie.

Are you ready to eat at a restaurant for the last time ever?!

Jane: Oh god, yes!

There are dirty plates everywhere, the staff doesn’t seem to care. At least Jane gets to blog about her being there and gets a very sweet 110k followers. Maybe we’re gonna have to eat out again. Once a day, till we hit our million followers.

Whatever their neighboring table got, its also a bunch of trash.

That’s seven collections done by the way. My goal was only to do five, so I’m feeling pretty good right now.

Jane I swear, its the middle of winter. Get the hell out of the pool.

Jane: Make me, loser!

Emmie gets stuck doing all the cleaning as everyone else needs to go to bed. Its like 2am in game, and everyones tired. She’s not excited for it.

Excuse me ma’am, I just said everyone is in bed. What do you think you’re doing?

Carolyn: Exercising (:

Pls stop before you die.

Time to put your nose to the grindstone and get those million followers, Jane. She stops off at one of the bars in the city. We’re here for two reasons of course.

She tells her subscribers she’s here and runs to grab all the posters…

Then all the snowglobes.

Rinse and Repeat.

By the time she gets home, shes pretty proud of herself. She got about 350,000 followers today. The day isn’t over and shes hungry, so theres plenty of time to get more. She’s sitting at 648k right now, but shes trending so its probably best to get her some more.

I threw down a 50s style dinner and sent her there. She quickly checks in with her followers and got another 90k. Shes sitting at 744k now, and I’m happy knowing she probably get the rest the next day.

This was just too funny; people are crowding around her while she sings and are clapping and cheering. Except the waiter… Whose giving Jane the nastiest look. I had to pause and laugh at this. I love the expressions on Sims’ faces.

Look at these cuties loving on their grandkids. Carolyn is probably so proud that Lily got her redhair.

Emmie decided to make some pizza. I don’t even remember what kind. Its not like the family needs food.

EXCUSE ME MA’AM. I cannot believe this woman.

I don’t know why shes making pizza while… eating the pizza. It caused a fire though, and then just. Chaos.

Jane began screaming, and everyone ran into the kitchen and then for the babies. No one bothered to put out the fire or call anyone to.

Everyone just stood outside freaking out as if the family hadn’t already been through several fires.

Then everyone but Carolyn had work. Poor baby Lily was thrown on the living room floor as most of the adults fled the scene, the fire finally going out on its own. It was chaos, and I really need to install a sprinkler system already.

The moment she’s home from work, Jane gets cleaning. Its quite the mess… everywhere.

And, as always, I want at least three pregnancies. If this is a boy, its a boy. Skyla and Jane won’t be having a fourth child unless something happens to Lily or Zoe. Quite frankly, I already love those two so much. I can’t wait for them to be children and teens so they can actually do things.

Emmie becomes a four-start celebrity, meaning she glows now I guess.

Jane works with Lily so she can sit up by herself. This is the first time they’ve ever done this with her, unless Carolyn has when I wasn’t watching.

Boom, a baby who can get around on her own. Now she scoots all over the place and causes general destruction.

Oh speaking of baby, time to see if that Woohoo worked. Luckily it did! Final baby incoming!

Skyla is not as excited as Jane is.

Speaking of babies, Virginia had a daughter! We’ll visit her sometime soon.

Jane: I have a girlfriend, two kids and a third on the way. I may not have a million followers but everything else is looking up!

Ack, those million followers. Best get back to it.

The only thing of note that happened was Jane ran into Virginia and her sister was told about the third baby. She was not interested in the news.

Back home, I right a second wrong; Skyla and Jane are only girlfriends and they have almost three kids. Guess we’re having a late shotgun wedding.

Skyla, she is heavily pregnant. Should you be jumping into her arms like that???

I am very sad to watch Emmie bake this cake.

Emmie: Finally… Freedom.

Not so fast.

Her last act is to help Lily blow out her candles.

She’s a grumpy looking old lady and I love her. I’m gonna say thats enough for this chapter. I’m not sure when the next one will be out. Who knows with me. My life is chaos and I’d just like to finish this challenge. Thanks for coming along for the ride; more Riley’s soon.

8.02 Finally Time!

Welcome back! The lovebirds are exercising together and it reminds me a lot of Eli and Kat.

The Humor & Hijinks Festival rolls around and I have the two of them head there. Jane can now tag her location, and she needs a lot of followers. When she tags herself at the festival it gives her over 2,000 of them. Damn.

They both join the jokesters, and if you need your comedy up, just come to this festival. Over the course of the night, she went from level 6 to 10.

Jane mostly just torments Skyla with the same jokes over and over again. She laughs at all of them. Thats true love I guess.

Oh look, its Kyle. Didn’t realize he was actually good looking tbh. Well, I like Skyla anyway. Not a huge loss in my opinion.

The Jokesters win, and since both the ladies are on the team, the family gets 1,000! Its not a lot compared to what they have, but that’s interesting.

After taking a nap at home, Jane is off again to stare at art at 4am. Shes trying to get through the painting aspiration right now.

She also checks in for another thousand followers. I think the festivals give more since its all to do with city living. She needs 10k followers for her next promotion and she only has like 5k. This career is more annoying than I remember.

Then I discover she can stream. She streams the Sims because its the only way, clearly. She gets 1.5k followers after every stream and after three days, she gets the 10k she needs!

Then I realize that Rebecca and Sophia are about to age up. I meant to have a baby right around the time they left. So, the two head into the rocket and well…

Its baby time!

Look at how happy they are for their first baby! It… better be only one. It better.

The night before her birthday, Sophia decides to light herself on fire. Girl…

Luckily her whole family has her back, and by that I mean Jane has it.

Rebecca and Sophia head to school, and the cake is made. It awaits them.

Rebecca goes first and I miss her candle blowing shot.

Sophia: You won’t miss mine though, right?

I don’t miss Sophia’s, at the very least.

Rebecca Riley is Self Assured, Evil and now Lazy. She also got the Bad Manners and Irresponsible traits. Shes not very nice but I love her anyway.

Sophia Riley is Self Assured, a Vegetarian, and now an Overachiever. She’s also Responsible, has Emotional Control and is a Mediator. They’re both given jobs, money and a house. They take Clarissa with them.

Don’t worry, I realized while typing this that no wedding has been had for Skyla and Jane, so they’ll be back. A baby shower is also coming.

Skyla takes up painting, a right for every single Riley. Those are her PJs. I don’t know, I figure Aliens like sparkly things. I sure as heck know I do.

Emmie is back to upgrading everything now that Clarissa has left us. Always in our hearts, and forever living in Sophia and Rebecca’s home.

Harvestfest comes, and brings us another alien gnome. I swear no new ones have appeared after the first few holidays.

And finally, its time for the baby shower! The entire family is invited!

Emmie grills some fruit-bobs up, knowing that Sophia doesn’t eat meat.

One of the goals is to take pictures, so these two cuties take some selfies. They are so stinking adorable.

Apparently they give gifts without being directed to. Emmie gives Skyla a toy for her future little one.

Look! Some of the family! I miss them all so much already. They look like they’re doing good.

Alex: Please take me back! I hate it out here!

Nope. Sorry, no boys allowed this gen.

Sophia: Alex you coulda never been heir

Jane: Yeah, now lemme tell you this funny story at your expense.

Even soon to be great-great grandpa Kris shows up! Of course in wolf form, despite the fact that the baby is gonna be an alien-mermaid.

Skyla is having a miserable time. She has to pee, she has to sleep, I forgot how hard it is on a pregnant lady.

And… she peed herself. Well, that wrapped up the baby shower, and I sent everyone home. Poor Skyla.

After sleep and getting everyone around, Jane works out and then heads to the Spice Festival. She already has the 10k subscribers she needs, but the festival gives her almost 4k more. I know the top of her career needs like… 1 million? So its better to be ahead.

She harvests some plants, eats some spicy food and goes home. Sadly, we already have all of these plans. Oh well.

No sooner does she get home and crawl back into bed, does Skyla go into labor.

Skyla: This hurts! I don’t wanna do it again!

She makes her way over the the expanded (again) nursery and gives a few pushes.

And its a beautiful baby girl! The new babies look…uh… interesting. Meet baby Zoe! I looked up female social media influencers but nothing about them, so I rather not say exactly who shes named after. If you can guess, yay! If not, don’t worry about it.

Jane interacts with her new daughter exactly once, the day of her birthday. Which… kinda sweet I guess? I should leave you guys hanging, but I can’t.

POOF! An infant!

Here she is, sweet little Zoe who is a sunny infant! Where did those purple eyes come from, Zoe?

I suppose thats where we should leave this chapter. We have a lot about to go on with a new baby in the household, and who knows what will come next? I know I want at least two more pregnancies before I’m happy with the choices. But, I’ll see you next time with more pictures (and probably way too many of Zoe haha).

8.01 Chaos All Around

Welcome back to the first chapter of generation 8, where Jane will be leading us. She looks rather smug about the fact, huh?

She joins her career, and heads to her new bedroom. It was her mothers’ room, but now its her’s. Its mostly because its right next to the nursery. She gets up to her needed 100 followers and then chats with Clarissa for a bit. They actually already really close. I think her best friend is gonna be a robot.

But she has things to do, people to see, and a mate to find.

Jane: But I’m single and lovin’ it?

Don’t care, we need babies.

Jane: Goodbye cruel world. I’m running away so I don’t have to find a partner.

All according to plan.

Off she goes.

And she finds herself safely on Sixam. I’ve not been here in a while and I didn’t miss it. At least its pretty.

Jane spends time collecting things while I look for her alien wife or husband. Every single alien thats wandering around is an elder or adult though. I’m trying to find her someone at least similar in age.

Its about forever before I spot her. Shes got weird taste in makeup but I accept.

With her good manners and skills, Jane is friends with Skyla in a matter of seconds. I love her. Shes not perfect, but shes good enough. The only trait Jane manages to discover about her at first is that shes Active, which is perfect!

While they’re not romantic, yet, they are very cute together. Skyla agrees to move in and we have our alien! And shes gonna be our spouse!

Skyla: I’m gonna be a legacy spouse?

That you are. After we fix your makeup.

Don’t worry about the eyes, its just makeup. So are the “freckles”. Its actually just a starry tattoo! She looks very pretty, in my opinion.

How do you feel about living on Earth instead of Sixam so far?

Skyla: Sim food is weird. I like it.

Look at this cutie playing Sims! Sadly, I think I might send her off with Rebecca and Sophia. With the new update, I realize that the house is gonna be full longer. Sims stay adults for like 40 something days now on normal.

Jane is still enjoying working out. Weird that she doesn’t have that much muscle though.

Skyla, like every alien I’ve ever had join my family, is hot headed. She wakes up angry and ready to fight the world.

Theres no reason to be angry though. Today is Maria’s birthday!

Maria: Wait, is this why mom has been trying to make so much money?

Yes indeed it is. Its so you kids can get an inheritance to move out of the house!

The young adult version of dear Maria. She’s Self-Assured, a Geek & newly Childish.

Now shes ready to take on the world! Maria is given a job in the Tech Guru career and sent to Newcrest just like her siblings. Her house is right next to theirs.

With Maria out of the house, I feel its time for these two to become a little closer. They’re already good friends, so it shouldn’t be hard at all.

It takes almost no time for Skyla to accept a flirt.

And look! Shes literally glowing!

I love these two. They’re my favorite couple to date.

Despite being Single & Lovin’ it, Jane looks really happy to be Skyla’s girlfriend! I keep saying this but I love them and I can’t wait to play out their life together.

Sadly the cute must end. Jane has to go to work, and shes off to the city, just like her grandmother Nancy once was.

Her goal is just to greet people and ask them about themselves today. With her polite greeting thats easy peasy.

Should you still be alive? How is she still alive?

At home, Skyla is exercising. She has the active trait so she loves the gym. However its quite plan and I’m gonna have to decorate it if we’re gonna spend a lot of time here this generation.

When shes done though, she and Jane are all over each other. I keep saying this every generation, but I love them so much. Don’t worry, they’re just making out. No babies yet.

They’re just so in love and its just so sweet.

Skyla and Jane also become best friends. They always talk and seek each other out, which is just sweet. I’m not sure if its the new pack but I’m loving it.

Jane is on a pretty strict schedule though. She wakes up and exercises, eats, bathes and then does whatever the tasks are for work.

Today’s task is to use mischief on five sims. Luckily five people are home so they all get the buzzer.

Upstairs, Clarissa starts a fire and looks pissed about it. Sophia and Emmie put it out before too much panicking is done though.

While Emmie is chewing poor Clarissa out for starting a fire, she starts a midlife crisis. She gets a few tasks she might wanna do to ease the time of the crisis. Normally it’ll last a week, so thats a thing.

The first this she wants is to ride a bike around. Alright then? It’s raining?

Then she wants to build a treehouse. I want one anyway for the next generation. Well, the upcoming one. I’m just hesitant to have kids before the twins are out of the house because I’m already overwhelmed.

Let’s end this chapter with these two being cute once more and cuddling. I love them so so much. This is a mod by the pancakes i believe? Totally worth it. Anyway, next chapter I’ll play until the twins are gone, and we’ll finally start having babies! The first of generation nine! Wow!

7.07 Waiting Game

Welcome back to the Riley’s! I had an extended break from the family but I’m back to discover Emmie escaped her skilling containment. Get back there!

Jane won the heir vote and with the infant update, everyone is super happy for her.

Emmie: I thought I was free.

You’re never gonna be free from me (:

The rocket is looking pretty swell. Now I did try to move them to a bigger lot but I can’t move the house and I’m not making them a new one so they’re stuck here until the end. Meaning, no new town for them. I might use it when I do my next challenge.

As with her mother, Jane graduates high school early and signs up for university. She won’t complete it, I think? She has like 10 days until shes a young adult but we might stick with it until Maria also leaves the house. The youngest twins can be around to help raise her kids.

She has a day or two to wait until she’s accepted so she works her wellness in the meantime.

Since I know who my heiress is, I let the other do as they want, and these three have a meet up in the hall.

Emmie gets to upgrade more stuff. She just works on skills, upgrades stuff with her instant upgrade and moves on.

Morning rush is always hard. Emmie has been setting out a meal for them all to pick from so they don’t all crowd the fridge. They crowd the fridge anyway.

Sophia chooses to try her hand at fitness and it doesn’t look like shes loving it.

Since Jane will be taking over, shes learning to cook for herself. I don’t think she’ll have more than 3 children because wow infants are hard.

Its 2am and I forgot to send Alex to bed but he maxed his Research & Debate skill! Yay! Now you can do whatever you want buddy!

Marie tries to gain votes after voting is over by helping her mother make breakfast. Oh well, she tried.

Jane begins her uni homework, managing to do it all pretty quick. Well, by quick I mean it takes her all day. Shes in four classes to be fair.

After-school kitchen chaos. I’m gonna almost miss it.

Carolyn got promoted! I didn’t realize at first because I was focusing on Jane, but shes a Sim-In-Black now! She hit level 10! Woohoo!

This is like 3 ingame days later, but its finally time for an early morning birthday. Gonna try to get Alex and Virginia aged up before school so I can get them OUT.

Emmie: Its beautiful!

I agree.

Virginia is older so she goes first.

And then Alex!

Virginia is a hot headed, self assured party animal who was the Valedictorian of her class. She also has good manners and is responsible.

Alex is a Self Assured, Childish Perfectionist who graduated with honors. He has good manners, is responsible, a mediator, has emotional control but is insensitive.

I had to move them out with manage world since all the houses are full after 8 generations of one household. They were moved to a cute little house in Newcrest that I downloaded off the gallery. They got some money to tide them over and were given jobs before they left. Good luck you rascals!

How do you feel after giving up two of your babies?

Emmie: Like its time to have more.

NO.

Jane is certainly pleased to have two less siblings. Once Marie goes, we’ll also have her mom make our key weapon for surviving infants – a servo. Plus we need him for the challenge anyway.

Excited to write your term paper?

Jane: Excited to get this term over with.

Virginia must miss the legacy house lifestyle because shes already back, visiting and looking pretty depressed. Carolyn goes out to comfort her oldest. Wow, I can’t believe their oldest is an YA and out of the house. It seems like this gen has gone on forever.

With her term paper done, Jane works on her presentation next. Then she just has to take finals for the rest of her classes.

Carolyn and her evil trait come out to play pretty heavy with this Growing Together pack. Like, she has distant with all of her kids. Its awful. Shes always yelling and being mean to them. Its really trashing their relationships.

To get away from Carolyn and to complete her goals, Jane works on the Research & Debate skill. It would be nice to finish Uni and start way ahead in the career, but at best she’ll get two semesters done. I suppose she’d only need two more…

I’m also realizing that me changing my defaults for infants changed some sims’ eye color. I’ll have to go back and check who had what, because I’m pretty sure that Jane had Emmie’s grey eyes.

She did, and as you can see here they’re changed back. She’s really moving up with Research & Debate. She won’t finish it, but at least it helps with school work.

Finals are coming up, so she goes downstairs to study in the art room while her mother paints. I’m trying to make some fast cash for points, since we’ve been stuck at about 500k for two gens. Then again, our bills are 20k with the frugal trait.

Speaking of the household, after a few days of painting, I freed Emmie so she could go make the Simbot a reality. Maria ages up right after Jane, and we have two free spots right now, so why not?

Emmie throws some switches as soon as the bot is done.

Its alive! Its alive!

Emmie welcomes the Simbot to the family, giving us 3 more points. I named her Clarissa. Dunno why, just seemed a fitting name for a Simbot.

Then I changed her to gold. Again, not sure why, it just seemed fun. This is the first time I played with a Simbot, honestly.

Shes a good helper though, and she gets to repairing, cleaning and cooking. Shes honestly gonna be such a burden off poor Jane’s back when she starts to have kids.

Jane finishes her finals, coming out of the semester with an A. Her birthday is three days away so I opt to not return. Its just something to build her skills while I wait. She really did build them. Her charisma is at like 6 and her comedy at 5.

Clarissa: I made food!

You are perfect and I love you. You will never do any wrong.

Emmie is still locked in the basement, painting away. The family sits about 550k right now, but I’ll wait until later to count it for points.

Its almost your birthday. Are you excited?

Jane: Nope.

Fair.

Though, Jane does make her own cake. I’ve been letting her to her own devices without Uni and shes spent most of that time in the pool.

Happy birthday Jane!

Jane is now a YA. She got the Active trait, making her Neat, Self Assured & Active. She also got the Emotional Control, Mediator, Responsible, and Good Manners traits. All and all, shes shaping up to be an excellent Sim. She’ll be doing the Social Media career (as if I haven’t said that enough lol). Onwards to the next generation!

7.06 The MEGA Chapter

So I’m going to try to make this the last chapter before the heir vote, so that way that can get done! I gotta get all the girls to at least teen, so its probably gonna be a long chapter, or theres gonna be a lot of skipping. Probably a lot of skimming over thing.

Emmie is working on repairing everything in the house so she can make it all unbreakable. Shes got level 8 handiness.

Alex and Virginia do homework for the first time as teens. They’ll be home pretty much alone today. All the children have school, Emmie has work and Carolyn will sleep most of the day.

Virginia helps out by vacuuming the dusty ass house. Emmie literally does not have enough time in the day.

Alex works on a skill, research & debate. He needs to max a single skill before he leaves the house but it’ll probably be painting.

The toddlers got their skills done, surprisingly. I did grind a little bit with them. Their birthday is two days away, so we have some time to wait.

BUT GUESS WHO GOT HER FINAL PROMOTION. THATS RIGHT, EMMIE!

Emmie: I hate technology and you’re going to fill my house with it.

Yup!! Nothing is locked anymore! We’re good to go!!

We buy like five of those 10k computers and throw them on every desk in the house, and we buy this. When Alex (at least) is kicked out, we’ll make servo.

Virginia trying to win points from the audience by being the best freaking big sister.

While we bought enough upgrade parts to last the family forever. Emmie is forced to upgrade everything in the house and shes miserable.

JACOB DON’T YOU DARE.

The house goes through some major renovations by the way. Rooms are deleted, the graveyard was too. I wasn’t happy with it so now they have a pond-like pool in the backyard.

Its an instant hit, though, I might add some tables out there so they don’t eat at the pool.

The kitchen also got a change up and I am personally so much happier with it. The backyard still needs some work, but as you can see theres a wrap around porch. I have to stop myself from tearing the entire place down and retrying honestly.

Virginia takes up the family skill of painting. She needs something at level 3 for school and this is an easy one.

Emmie: My babies are becoming children

GOOD. NO MORE.

First up, Rebecca.

Then Sophia. My game has had bad lag issues lately, because my computer is ):< bc the house is huge and covered in junk, so I sometimes miss shots. Oh well, what can ya do.

This is Rebecca! Shes Self-Assured but I doubt you needed me to tell you that.

And Sophia. You can certainly tell they’re identical twins in this shot. I can’t wait until they get their second traits and get more of their own personality! The rest of this chapter might be very skip-y because I’m trying to get to their birthdays before I end it. I want to put up that darn heir vote!

Carolyn looks victorious as she has just finished her Fitness skill! Now she has the long lived trait!

Why is the dolphin cry so strange looking. Emmie is already level 6 of robot making and shes still a young adult. She has so much time to finish more skills.

She made a little robo cleaner. He is not named and I am taking suggestions.

Emmie doesn’t get much time for robot making over the next day as everything in the house breaks.

There are only a million messes to clean, and she really only gets time when all the kids leave for school.

We are constantly making food. Even the party servings can’t keep the household fed for long.

Not to mention this dust is just getting annoying. Oh look, an two unpainted walls. Wonder how that happened lol

Finally its time for all the kids to get the hell out. Emmie takes a vacation day because theres just so much to do and her career is topped.

First thing she gets done is bakes a cake for herself and blows out the candles. Its finally her adult birthday!

Emmie: Yay! Makeover time!

Looking graceful as ever as an adult. Have I ever said how much I love Emmie? Shes really really grown on me.

Hell has arrived. Emmie and Carolyn start with the oldest and as projects get done, everyone splits up to help the others.

Before long we’re moving on to actual homework, with projects littering the yard.

After homework, any kids that still have energy are forced to skill, like Sophia here.

Don’t worry, Jane and Rebecca are skilling too in their own ways. Jane actually finishes the creativity skill here which is super pleasing. More points! Man do I have to update points.

Emmie is taking on Knitting. I’ve never really done much with it and I want to learn for… uh reasons.

And its finally time for another birthday! Jane’s! Happy Birthday!!

She’s… oh my god. She’s gorgeous! She got the Neat trait, so shes now Self-Assured and Neat.

Alex is just standing back there watching all his sisters age up and go in the running to be heir. Seriously, if anyone wants him, you can have him! Just treat the poor guy well!

Emmie what the hell are you doing

Oh making thanksgiving meal. Or whatever its called in the sims. Peek the bigger table they now have.

It can fit everyone, though Maria and Sophia/Rebecca refuse to sit down. I can’t remember which one has short hair. I think its Sophia.

Jane: I’m gonna be a legend.

You’re going to overwork yourself, love. She’s now a cheerleader and needs fitness skill.

Maria maxes out her mental skill. Is it Maria or Marie? Man I’m getting the kids names so messed up this generation.

Harvestfest comes to a close, and the gnomes end their day fascinated at the generations of art on the wall.

Since she has to rest between workouts, Jane also takes up the singing skill.

Emmie & Carolyn return to going on their dates now that the kids are pretty grown up. Get you a person who looks at you like Carolyn does Emmie. They’re so cute and in love yet!

Back home Sophia finishes her creativity skill. Just birthdays and skills in this chapter!

And finally its Marie’s birthday! That means only two (one technically) left for the chapter!! Happy birthday!!!

I can already tell thats some bad cc….

Marie got the Geek trait to go with her self-assured. How could I not give her the N7 hat? Its from Mass Effect for those not fans of the series. (Basically me until recently, oof).

A couple of the merkids have a little party out at the pond. Jane snoozes and Alex swims little laps around her.

Emmie has maxed yet another skill. Robotics this time.

Puberty strikes poor Jane the next morning. A quick face cleanser and shes looking better.

Of course, Carolyn doesn’t really care because she just maxed her logic skill! Shes also level 9 in her career. We haven’t had a spouse finish their career in a long time!!

Emmie finishes Knitting too and begins to work on baby clothes for whoever is gonna bring her grandbabies.

Its kinda cute to see Jane and Carolyn working out together. They’re both always in the gym, one way or another.

Victoria finishes her one required skill to leave the house – painting. You can see one of the many painting she finishes on the wall next to her.

Winterfest arrives, and the family spends the day decorating the tree together. This is such a cute interaction, I love it.

Then they admire the lights together and sing a carol to their new tree.

With knitting finished, Emmie is onto the next one. Rocket Science! For no particular reason of course.

Alex please, theres so much food in the fridge.

Alex: Actually there isn’t.

Oh boy.

Emmie already took the day off to upgrade everything she could get her hands on, so I have her whip up about eight plates of food.

She also does the laundry that has been piling up. Eight sims go through a lot of clothing.

Its not until well after midnight does she start the last dish. A very special one. That’s right, its finally time and Emmie is thanking the simming gods that this is it for her. No more nightmares!

After putting candles on the cake, I notice how dirty the counter is so Emmie gives it a quick scrub and calls the twins down.

Rebecca, the oldest goes first!

Then Sophia!

Rebecca gets the Evil trait. Oh good gosh. This pretty girl, evil? More likely than you think.

And Sophia who rolls the Vegetarian trait. The only way the could be even more of an opposite is if Sophia rolled the Good trait.

7.05 Stuffed

First off I’d love to thank everyone for nominating me for the 2023 Golden Plumbobs. I know I haven’t been the most active but when I said I was so excited to see the nomination, I really mean it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really don’t deserve it but its giving me the push I need to work more on this legacy. Lets go!

Its been a while so lets start with a family check in. Virginia is appeasing the soul of her grandmother with a melody.

Carolyn is helping Jane with her homework. Jane just aged up at the end of the last chapter, but go off.

Emmie is building a violin because it’ll be a nice family heirloom.

Alex is doing his homework in the peace and quiet of his late grandparents’ bedroom.

Little Marie is working on her skills and looking super cute doing it. I may wanna add I went on a CC Purge so if anything looks funny, I apologize in advance.

Jane: Hi Grandma!

Nancy: Hello little wolf!

I realize that Carolyn needs logic to move forward in her career so I get on that. She enjoys herself and I quite frankly forget about her because of the horde of children in the house.

Virginia finishes her creativity skill her which is pleasing. I wasn’t sure of the kids would finish a skill before they reached teenager.

Carolyn returns from work uncomfortable, its baby time! Final baby. No take backs!

She runs to the crib and struggles through her last labor. Shes still about a week older than Emmie but thats better than like 2 weeks she was before.

And its a girl! Meet Rebecca!

…and meet Sophia. Ugh. I shoulda known. My luck is god awful rotten. Twin girls. Yay…

Jane: Thanks! I hate it!

Me too girl. Me too. At least its gonna be one heck of an heir vote.

Well meet Rebecca and Sophia. I hope they’re at least cute because I have no idea where I’m gonna shove them. I didn’t plan for this many babies. Well, it is what it is.

The other children all run in to be angry about getting siblings. Everyone except Virginia is pissed. I guess I might be too if I was promised only one more rival and I get two.

At least little Marie has finally finished all her skills. She ages to child the same day that the (youngest) twins age to toddlers. I don’t know if its really worth bothering with their skills. I guess I’ll do it for the points.

Its Saturday and I don’t feel like dealing with Maria + twin babies, so I send Emmie with the three oldest to the park. I guess her top was part of the purge. Do I fix it? No, no I don’t.

Ehhh…. This park does not spark joy.

This park from the gallery sparks joy. I’ll have to find who its by on the gallery but I like it.

Emmie goes and jumps in the pool, dreaming of days where she and all her mermaid children can go swimming.

The kids head to the playground to play and chat. Emmie joins them a moment later when an adult runs up and starts talking to Alex.

My monkey brain went OOH OOH ALIEN when I saw him, but then I realized hes only a hybrid child. Not good enough. Plus I have special plans for next generation’s spouse.

Kris shows up to talk to his great-grandchildren and grandchild. Strange to think hes immortal when his son was not. I’m glad I resisted my brain’s urge to go for the old man when I first saw him. I feel like Nancy and Jacob were a really great couple anyway.

you guys literally have freaking NIGHT LIGHTS WHY ARE THERE MONSTERS? I don’t understand this game.

Its finally the day. Marie goes first!

And for some reason I didn’t take pictures of the youngest twins aging up. It doesn’t matter because I have exciting news!

Rebecca is fussy!

Sophia is a charmer! And they’re identical twins! Completely and utterly identical! I’ve actually never had identical twins, I think. Or if I have, I haven’t had them for a super long time! Either way, thats gonna make the heir vote interesting, or so I’d think.

Additionally, neither one of them is a mermaid.

Emmie and I enjoy some peace at her work, where she gets her level 9 promotion! Then she has to diagnose and treat 5 illnesses, which isn’t too hard. If I hussle her and pay attention, I can get 2 or 3 done in a day. If you’re struggling with the doctor career, use this image:

When Mrs Surgeon gets home, its time to potty train the twins. I won’t lie to you, I’m not too concerned with their skills, but I’ll at least get their potty up.

Soon, its Caroyln’s birthday. She recently reached level 7 of her career. I’m so proud of her!

Welcome to adulthood Carolyn!

I just can’t wait to add two more kids to this mess. It already wasn’t all done until midnight.

A few days later, its finally time. Virginia blows out her candles first.

Followed by Alexander. We’re finally getting teens!! I’m so freaking excited!!

Virginia is literally just Emmie with red hair and lighter skin. Actually… I think the lip curse is broken. After five generations of suffering, its over. Anyway, shes hot headed. I really love her and had a lot of fun with her style.

Alexander is childish! I think hes really cute personally. I didn’t change a lot of his clothes or even his hair. I just slapped some cc on him and called it a day.

My next chapter goals are: Finish Emmie’s career so we can have computers, get at least Marie to a teenager and not to cry because I’m so overwhelmed with so many sims. I usually don’t play big households anymore for this reason alone. Right now I’m mostly just letting the Sims do what they want and recording it, save for Emmie since she still has goals to accomplish. Are you having fun? Because I sure am. See you next chapter!

7.04 Oh Dear

We start with a obligatory potty pic. Jane sure is a sweetie. I forgot to add last time that shes a mermaid. So we have Virginia who is not a mermaid, and Jane who is.

Emmie: i feel like my legacy is a mess without my mom! I’m only level 7 in my career, I have three kids with another on the way! I’m a mess!

You’re doing great Emmie! We’re almost to the finish line with your career! Though I personally can’t wait for the heir vote. I forgot that kids are children for 2 week though. The last little one should be born in two days, so I think I’ll make it to them all being teens before the heir vote.

Jacob: Heyo!

Heyo Jacob!

Emmie, despite her worries, is a great mom. She helps the kids with their homework. And makes sure they’re in bed in a decent time.

Baby bump check with Carolyn. I don’t think shes enjoying it anymore.

I just love Emmie so much, okay. Shes grown on me. Shes so good with her kids.

Another date night, and just look at how Carolyn looks at Emmie. Everyone deserves someone who looks at them like that.

On the walk/waddle home, Carolyn is looking bigger than ever. And she only in her second trimester.

Oh and if anyone is wondering how the gallery is going, only 12 more to get. Thats six more dates!! Maybe once Jane is older, I’ll take all the kids, everyone gets one of something. That’ll about finish us with this collection.

Virginia is working on her skills, trying to show shes best for heir.

Carolyn is distressed to know I might make her be pregnant again. I know, I know, I said only three, but Carolyn is so much older than Emmie and it would even the odds just a bit.

Look at this cutie though. Jane is adorable and I love her so much. She finishes imagination here.

And tries to get out of learning thinking from her mother.

Later that night, Carolyn goes into labor. Shes been inhaling strawberries at an alarming rate, so i figure we have to have a girl in there!

She waddles her way down the short hall to the crib. C’mon Carolyn! Give us a girl!

ANOTHER GIRL! WOOHOO! Her name is Maria!

As usual, all the babies have a naming theme, Alex included. They’re all named after women (and one man) who were famous doctors who forwarded the field of medical science!

What does Carolyn do after giving birth? Run off to do yoga! What a woman!

As soon as his mother leaves for work, Alex jumps on the yoga mat next. I’m not complaining! It means hes getting his skills up!

As Emmie feeds Maria, she contemplates my plan of having another. They are super cute to be fair.

The twins are still best friends, if you’re wondering. Alex sings to Virginia on every holiday, and shes never impressed.

Here we see Emmie finishing her cooking skill. She’s at 13 done now, tied with Rose (gen 2), but just below Kat (gen 4? 5?)

Emmie: Does that mean I’m free?

Oh heck no!

Emmie: Well at least I’m pretty awesome.

Speaking of awesome, Carolyn got a promotion! Level 5!!

The kids are both helped with their projects. When we have four (or five!) kids, they’ll probably be left to their own devices.

We gotta head to the beach soon and see everyone as mermaids. Or at least the kids that are. I suppose that has to wait until they’re teens. Funnily enough only Virginia so far is human.

Speaking of mermaids, its time for Maria to age up so we can see if she also gained her mother’s supernatural heritage.

Maria! She’s a cutie! Shes angelic but more importantly, shes also a mermaid!!

Emmie rushes in to show the poor girl her cards. She doesn’t even get a break from aging up.

The march out the door. Emmie is in her bedroom yet, about to head out.

When she gets home, I realize laundry hasn’t been done since Nancy died. She hops to it.

Oh and Carolyn is pregnant again lol

Carolyn: BABY!!

Emmie: HOW?!!

At least Jane is skilling fast. Shes finished with movement now. I think all thats left is the dreaded thinking.

Carolyn comes home with a promotion and is looking mighty big for being in her second trimester. Luckily we only have two more spots open in the house so if there are any multiples, its only gonna be twins at worse.

Sadly Maria is a horrible little brat who constantly wakes up her siblings if I’m not keeping an eye on her. I regret my idea of having another.

Virginia is a good girl who works on her skills. Shes almost done with creativity. She probably won’t do more with the hoards of other children in the house. I regret many of my foolish actions.

Aha! Thats why Emmie has had to repair that damn thing five times this week!

Nancy you scoundral!

Luckily its birthday time and Jane is aging up. Due to lag, I missed the shot of her blowing out the candles.

Here she is! Its almost time for Maria’s birthday too so we gonna cut the chapter. Next time… ugh, i have no idea. I’m gonna play a little more, and update the family tree (finally lol). Maybe I’ll remember to update the score as well.

7.03 Hey Look Ma!

Welcome to another chapter of the lives of the Riley’s! Little Virginia has just finished her movement skill and all she has left is her thinking! Thank goodness!

Emmie has recently finished her wellness skill and now shes moving onto handiness. As you can see, her stomach is growing. We’re hoping for one this time, and eating strawberries for another girl.

I plopped down a restaurant and she and Carolyn are working on becoming soulmates. And the experimental food collection. I know I only said I wanted to do five, but why not do more if I’m able?

They each get something different, and we throw up the paintings for display. Theres only twenty items, so thats only 10 dates between the two of them!

Winterfest is here once more, which means I’m struggling to keep the toddlers inside instead of freezing to death outside.

Alex is kept inside with dancing. He is so very cute. Why did I have to make this a girls club only. If he turns out well, I’m going to upload him and hope that someone adopts him and gives him the family of his dreams.

Another belly check. Shes beginning to clip, so thats how we know Emmie is almost there.

Emmie: Only one more after this?

If you and Carolyn don’t do anything to betray yourselves, yes.

Holy presents father winter!! Wow!!!

The family chooses to open them right away! We don’t get anything of note. Just some toys for the kids and a bar?? Father Winter, you good?

Nancy and Emmie are having a good talk when Emmie goes into labor. On Winterfest.

Shes off to the nursery to have her baby… with both toddlers sleeping in the room behind her. Hopefully this baby is quiet.

Its a girl!! Whooo!! Her name is Jane!!

Honestly, though, I wish that some of her babies would get her skin tone. Sheesh. But I am happy we now have choices!! At least Emmie is a great mother. She might actually finish parenting if this keeps up.

Another date night except its cooky-dooks. Why does everyone have clay? Why is no one sitting down? What tf is going on?

In case you’re wondering, the twins are still adorable and they got all their skills done! A whole day early!

Nancy: WHAT WAS THAT?

No it was just a werewolf rampage. Nancy please, you’re costing us a fortune.

Emmie: WHAT WAS THAT?

It was a promotion girl calm down. Shes only level 7 now though which is frustrating. This is such a slow moving career.

Emmie and Carolyn are flirting in the background, what does Nancy do? Come to die between them!

Nancy: Sorry…

Its alright old girl. You’re gonna be with Jacob again! Thats gotta be something to give you hope.

Emmie: OMG! Mom!

Emmie: My mother just died!

Rest in peace, Nancy. Her memorial is the level ten rewards for her career. I still really love the werewolf urns.

Carolyn figures out how to cheer up her wife. Sheesh, you two are silly.

Carolyn: And guess what?

Carolyn: I get to carry the last baby!!

Carolyn is a good mom too, in case you’re wondering. Even if this is only the first time she ever held Jane.

And of course, its her birthday!

This is Jane! These are Nancy’s grey eyes!! I’m so very happy with that! She’s a charmer, like Alex was.

Alex is self-assured of course. He looks like Nancy so far I think.

And Virginia! She and her brother have very different looking faces.

With a promotion, a death, a birth, and birthdays I’ll leave this chapter here. I don’t know what happens next, I closed my game after the birthdays. I am gonna say that the vote for heir will happen after the last girl (if this last pregnancy is a girl) becomes a teen. So far Virginia and Jane are our only choices, but who knows whats going to happen next?

7.02 Burn, Burn, Burn

We start this chapter with an attempted death. Nancy doesn’t know how to use a dryer anymore.

Emmie: MOM WTF??? I have babies in here?!

Luckily Emmie remembers to also put out her mother, though she doesn’t look happy about it.

Speak of babies. Heres the small nursery vs the terror thats about to hit it. I should expand it but oh man that sounds like a lot of work. Maybe I didn’t think out this floor plan as well as I thought I did.

Nancy, Nancy, Nancy… go get a shower! Also, Emmie is almost done with the violin skill! I’m pretty pumped about that!

Oh and its Harvest Day!

Shes saved this time by Carolyn.

Emmie is constantly trying to go swimming in the river. I guess I could take the time to build them a pool. I just hate building pools. Mine never look nice.

Another day passes with no excitement, and its time to age up the brats! Virginia first!

Doing this while I play makes the game so much easier since my memory is crappy. I also love them. Virginia got Carolyn’s hair, and Emmie’s eyes. Alex got Emmie’s hair and Carolyn’s eyes. I should also add Virginia is a human, Alex is a mermaid.

Its also about this time that I realize that most of the gravestones are shoved in the family inventory. Since this is a final house, I construct a place for their graves in the backyard.

The toddlers get started on their skills, while their moms work on theirs. Alex gets to talk to his stuffie for six years, and Virginia is gonna be glued to the potty since she doesn’t need help.

Nancy finishes the 11th skill in her lifetime. Logic. Girl calm down, I can’t control you anymore. You don’t have to do this.

This is just a woohoo but all woohoos for me are risky, and I do not want a baby right now. Not even one. I need to upgrade the nursery before we even think of it.

Carolyn: No baby ):

Good.

The goblins are about to begin screaming for bed. Alex has maxed his communication skill and most of his imagination. Virginia still hasn’t even finished potty.

I forgot Jacob’s spirit was still around. And Nancy did you nab one of the violins downstairs? Guess shes soothing the beast though, so I can’t be too mad. Wonder if he’ll turn into a ghost werewolf on the full moon?

Emmie: PRAISE THE PLUMBOB!

Isn’t it praise the sun? Guess there is no sun though.

Its halloween so once shes done praising the plumbob, she changes into a smuggler. I’ve been playing mass effect lately because i wanna romance a certain alien, so I was expecting a better outfit. I forgot that its star wars that sims partnered with.

Nancy: I’M RAGIN’

Its alright, she just wrecks her own bed. Her EXPENSIVE BED.

Emmie: No (:

Imagination is done for the little man. God hes so cute. I almost wish he could heir but I made my choices long ago, buddy.

More imporantantly, did you know that the toddlers even have costumes

You know what, screw it. Lets have another baby. Keeping them closer together is smart. It’ll make the vote easier, though they do stay teens FOREVER now.

Emmie: BABY TIME!!

Yess! Wonder why she can get knocked up so easily but Carolyn can’t at all? Shes had so many negative tests. Its weird.

Anyway, I’ma leave this here. This play and post seems to be working for me, tho I am sorry the pictures are so dark. Thats the natural lighting of the sims for me. 7.01 Long Time Coming (Yeesh)

So we had an oopsie and somehow my photoshop lost the action i was using. so after the first few pictures, they’re gonna look bland. never fear, i am looking for a reshade to replace that actions. that being said, i am taking reshade recs. anyway, on with it all.

First order of business; get Carolyn over here. Get her made over. Its surprising what some cc can do.

Second Order of business; quickie wedding in the backyard.

Third order of business; be disappointed she only started at level 4 of her career despite everything. I was hoping at least level 5. But she starts as a for real doctor so that’s nice.

Don’t worry, this is just for fun. We can’t try for a baby just yet. That brings us to step four.

Carolyn is placed in the military career, which is one we haven’t touched since generation one. No one can seem to finish the being an athlete, so shes gonna be an officer. She’s sent jogging and loves it.

Emmie hasn’t quite finished her logic skill so she gets crackin’.

A gym is built downstairs for everyone’s use, but Carolyn breaks it in. It’s pretty small but I’m thinking of expanding and adding an indoor pool.

Emmie: Ew, I don’t wanna eat this shit.

Too bad. Eat up.

Emmie is struck by a sudden urge to go swimming, so she runs down to the river. I think she needs salt water but whatever girl.

Guess she can use any water. Sadly shes struck by the bad cc goblins.

Better! Look at that! Another +3 points. I think at this point we just need a servo (or whatever they’re called in this game), a ghost and a alien. Maybe after we’re done having babies someone can have an accident… Nah! That’s too grim, even for me.

I tried to make the scales on her face the same red as her body. Did I succeed? I… don’t think so. Oh well.

Well, they’ve been married like two days, and I remembered that I can have lots and lots of babies now, and I built those extra rooms soooo… Baby time.

Carolyn: Oops… no baby…

AGAIN! There will be baby!!

Emmie: Please be baby! Please be baby!

BABY!! Yay! I’ll be doing my standard three pregnancies, so hopefully there will be at least two girls to choose from. Heir votes will probably last a week and happen when all girls are teens. Careers will be based off their traits, unless you guys wanna vote on that too.

Emmie runs out to tell Carolyn and shes happy for baby, displeased that she didn’t get to carry baby. She will next time.

A full day later, it’s Emmie’s first day as a doctor. She’s in charge of patient care already, and she doesn’t seem nervous at all. She’s like a duck to water.

She diagnoses patients left and right. Well actually she finishes up three of them and her goals are met.

Then she has fun torturing- I mean testing patients. This guy nearly fell.

Emmie: There, there. It was the pills or the cone of shame.

Man: But I’m a person?

Emmie: Don’t matter to me, bud.

Wonder if theres a mod to make the sectary actually do her damn job. The line was nearly out the door.

Uninterested in the plights of the unworthy, Emmie spent the rest of her day messing around with this machine. She maxed her logic skill at work.

She gets home, feeling sick from the baby, while Carolyn looks right as rain.

Carolyn: Maybe I don’t wanna carry any of the babies…

After Emmie throws up (three times), she works on restocking the fridge. Luckily her mother is fine with hunting for her own food, even as an elder, so she doesn’t ever touch the fridge and get mad about non-meaty foods.

After cooking, she works on her violin skill, as its something she enjoys. Shes already level 4 from teenage years and childhood.

She draws a crowd all night since she doesn’t need to sleep. Oh yeah, I guess I never mentioned how many points she banked as a teenager. Very close to 20,000.

The next morning she is much, much bigger. I don’t worry as much because twins will no longer cause me to lose points. Triplets will cause me to lose sanity though, so hopefully we can avoid that.

Nancy and Emmie have fun playing together. Its actually really cute, since I know Nancy and Jacob won’t be around much longer.

Sometimes Emmie plays Nancy right to sleep, which is REALLY cute.

Emmie is a great doctor. She gets her task done and then she plays violin in the halls so all her coworkers come to listen to her instead of helping people. Like I said, good doctor.

Carolyn is progressing in her career. She looks cute in uniform.

These two are always woohooing. They don’t keep their damn hands off each other. Every second I look away, they’re on each other. Its nice to have them so in love.

She is so big. Shes having twins. Calling it now. Shes having freaking twins. Maybe it’ll be two girls?

Emmie: Mom! Something bads about to happen! Warn the readers!

Nancy: Oh, honey. Everything is fine!

Jacob: Everything is not fine

Noooo! Jacob!!!

I’m so sad. I loved him so much! I actually really love werewolves in the sims 4 and Jacob was a wonderful one.

Nancy is first on the scene. I forgot to even say I made them a cute bedroom down in the basement. The two of them were happily living out their elder life together.

Rest in peace, Jacob. Also the werewolf urns are cool as hell.

Nancy: What am I supposed to do without him?

I don’t know hon. We’re all gonna miss him.

I do, in fact, have bad cc. But this isn’t the problem. Emmie is in labor.

I think this is where I’m gonna leave it. I’m so sorry it took so long to get this post out. Losing my action really grated under my skin, not to mention my computer needed a whole reset and i almost lost the file. So from now on I’m just gonna make the chapter while I play I think. I’ll still take those reshade recs if anyone wants to give them to me, though i’ll look around in my spare time. This legacy will get done yet.
